JetMart launches exciting concept store in Eloff St, Johannesburg Impressive
enhancements to improve shopping experiences for the South African family
JetMart opened the doors of its revamped, visually enhanced concept store in Eloff
St, to the Johannesburg CBD shopping population on Wednesday, 28 April 2010.
The 9500m2 three storey store offers a one stop shopping experience with a full
range of clothing, footwear and accessories for the entire family as well as general
home merchandise such as kitchenware, music, electrical appliances, DIY products,
household textiles. Christo Claassen, CE of Edcon Discount Division at the launch
of the new JetMart in Eloff St said “The concept store is one-of-a-kind featuring
plenty firsts for the customer. We’ve presented improvements, store enhancements
and new ideas, which will be rolled out to seven Jet and JetMart stores during 2010
and additional stores will receive significant visual upgrades as customers begin
to truly embrace the new shopping experiences.”
The JetMart team conducted intensive research to better understand the ever-changing
customer’s needs for an enhanced shopping experience. The new store achieves two
major benefits – it gives shoppers a more spacious, visually enhanced encounter
and it also makes provision for more merchandise on the floor. “This was accomplished
through very strategic visual upgrades, some colour changes and amendments to layout
within the store,” adds Claassen.
The new store has some exciting feature walls, new price points to highlight new
items and promotions on offer. “We know our customers will be pleased with the upgrades
and we look forward to enhancing the JetMart offering, while continuing to look
after our patrons with exceptional pricing, good quality, a large variety of merchandise
and friendly service all under one roof,” Claassen concludes.
